Remote Alarm
Stop me if I’m wrong here, but I think we’ve all see the movie with the vulnerable lady scurrying to her vehicle late at night. It was probably an 80s film, and lacked some serious budget and imagination. As the woman sprints to her car through the darkness, she suddenly gets the feeling that someone is watching, and possibly even pursuing her. Unfortunately for her, the streets are completely empty. The sad truth is that no lives in that massive city she’s panicking in, while stumbling to her car. Or so it would seem in these cheesy flicks. If she only had a remote alarm on her keychain right now. At least then she could jab a button and set off a racket. This would cause nearby citizens to stop what they’re doing, run to their windows and see what’s going on. We all know how that routine goes. People like to be nosey. This would most likely deter the criminal from attacking and doing God knows what to the poor, defenseless woman. Sadly there were no decent car alarms on vehicles in these shows. I guess it would screw with the plot.
In modern times we love our safety devices. From remote alarm systems for our vehicles, to ADT security alarms for our homes, to pepper spray in our purses, we like to be set and prepared. It absolutely stinks to be stuck in a dangerous situation and have nothing to turn to. I think most people feel vulnerable when they’re alone. This goes double for when they’re alone in some dark, dank parking level or on a questionable street corner at night. Fear levels increase and it can be difficult not to show that fear. Even though it’s the last thing you want to do. Predators look for that fear in potential victims. Well, one thing you can do to increase the safety of your situation is purchase a remote alarm for your car. This way you can start your vehicle before you even reach it. But, you can keep the doors locked until you get to the driver’s side. Unlock only the driver’s side door and enter safely. If someone chooses to approach you in a frightening manner, you can always hit the alarm button and draw plenty of attention to yourself.
It won’t break your bank account to purchase a decent remote alarm security system for your vehicle. First browse the market and see what options work best for you. These can be installed and ready in no time flat.
